Pedro I "the Cruel," King of Castile, son of Alfonso XI, King of Castile and Leon and María of Portugal, was born at Burgos, Castile, 30 August 1334.1 He died at Montiel, France, 23 March 1369.1

His first wife is not reported;1 he married (2) María de Padilla, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), in 1353.1
