Joan of England, daughter of Edward I "Longshanks," King of England and Eleanor of Castile, was born at Acre, Palestine, in 1272.1 She died 7 April 1307,2 and was buried at Austin Friars, Clare, Suffolk, England.2

Joan married (1), as his 2nd wife, Sir Gilbert de Clare, Knt., 6th Earl of Gloucester, son of Sir Richard de Clare, Knt., 6th Earl of Gloucester and Maud de Lacy, at Westminster Abbey, London, England, 30 April 1290;1 she married (2) Sir Ralph de Monthermer, Knt., 1st Lord Monthermer, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), in 1297.2
