Sir Henry of Lancaster, Knt., Earl of Lancaster, son of Sir Edmund of England, Knt., Earl of Lancaster and Blanche of Artois, was born at Grosmont Castle, Monmouthshire, Wales, about 1281.1 He died at Leicestershire, England, 22 September 1345,2and was buried with great state on the north side of the high altar of Newark Abbey, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.2

Henry married Maud de Chaworth, daughter of Sir Patrick de Chaworth, Knt. and Isabel de Beauchamp, between 30 December 1291 and 2 March 1296/97.1
