Sarah Lilly, daughter of Ambrose Lilly and Sarah Moss, was born at White Notley, Essex, England, 31 August 17501 and baptized there, 22 December 1750.1 She died at Kensington Palace, London, England, 5 November 1834.2

Sarah married, as his 3rd wife, Lt General William Wynyard, son of Lt General John Wynyard and Mary Maxwell, at Camberwell St. Giles, Southwark, England, 26 November 1767.3,4

Sarah Lilly left a will dated 2 October 1823, and proved 20 November 1834 (paragraphing and punctuation added for readablility:
When it shall please the Almighty God to take me from this world I beg my dear Caroline will continue her attentions to me with my Dr son Edwards assistance to fulfil the following memorandums:

I request my [___] funeral expenses paid

To my Sons Montagu John Wynyard and my son Edward Burkly Wynard my sons 50 Guineas and the like sum of fifty guineas to my Daur Emily Sara Wright also to my Daughter J C Wynyard also Sophia Wynyard also Georgiana Battye

To [___] Maria Wynyad I give her ten guineas to purchase some [___] as a remembrance of me and the Esteem I always retained for her

To each of my grandchildren that are living which I have stood Godmother to I give ten guineas

To Amelia Stubbings if living with me at my death thirty pounds and any of my Cloths and linen that my daughters Caroline and Sophia [___] to give away

To Sara [___] Garbone ten pounds if living with me at the same time.

To my daughter J Caroline I give all my plate furniture household linen and clothes of every description which I consider her justly entitled to for being my constant friend and companion during the greatest part of her life having to given up her [___] since of age entirely at my disposal and contented herself withthe most [___] [___] to enable me to enjoy the comfort of my family and friends and devoted her self to me in my declining years

at the time of writing this I had five hundred pounds in the four [___] [___] purchased out of money left me by different friends this with money that may be due on my pensions and [___] how [___] with money at [___] will & must be more than sufficent to pay the above bequests and expenses and whatever remains I give to [___] Caroline Wynyard and in this distribution

I am satisfied all my dear children will believe I have acted from upright motives and I [___] them they have all my love and good wishes and [___] feel all their kindnesses bestowed on me.
